How to prepare a joined-palm football glove design.

01 / PREPARE YOUR FILES
Start with one complete palm design.
For custom football gloves with a joined-palm logo, begin with the graphic as you want it to appear when both hands meet. Send that complete design alongside a reference showing the intended hand pose. This gives the artwork review a clear starting point before the image is divided between the two gloves.
Supply your original vector artwork if you have it. If you only have a raster image, send the highest-resolution original rather than a screenshot of a screenshot. Keep a copy with editable text or supply the font details; also include a reference image showing exactly how the lettering should look.
Specify your color references, including the palm background, graphic and backhand. A screen preview is useful for placement, but the physical sample is the point at which you review the actual color result.
02 / BUILD THE PAIR
Make left, right and the meeting point explicit.
Label the hands
Label each view as the wearer's left or right hand and say whether you are showing the palm or backhand. This prevents a mirrored layout from being mistaken for the approved design.
Show the complete pose
Include a reference of the hands together. Mark the intended meeting point and identify details that must line up, such as the center of an emblem or a wordmark.
Protect important details
Ask for the proposed print area before fixing tiny text or fine detail at the edges. Confirm how the artwork meets panel boundaries, finger sections and the gap between the hands.
Check both views
Review the full graphic with the hands together and the appearance of each glove on its own. Keep backhand and wrist artwork on separate, clearly labelled views.
03 / REVIEW BEFORE PRODUCTION
An artwork approval and a sample review do different jobs.
The artwork proof records the layout, spelling and color references. A physical sample lets you review that layout on the proposed glove construction and fit. Keep both approvals tied to the same design version.
- Place the sample hands together in the intended pose and review the alignment.
- Check team names, lettering direction and the left/right assignment.
- Review graphic visibility with the fingers naturally positioned.
- Check the agreed size, wrist closure, seams and branding positions.
- Review palm material and grip requirements separately from appearance.
- Record any change, then approve the revised version in writing.
04 / SEND A COMPLETE INQUIRY
Turn the design into a quotation brief.
Include the number of pairs for each size and colorway, your backhand and closure preferences, wrist branding, labels and packaging. Ask SB International to confirm the available construction, minimum quantity, sample cost and production estimate for that brief.
